The complex nature of rheumatic conditions can present unique challenges, as they may be subtle, misdiagnosed, or simply misunderstood in a sporting context. These conditions, while not always visible on the surface, can significantly impact an athlete's performance and overall wellbeing. It's important for clinicians to be able to recognise these conditions for appropriate treatment.
