On Tuesday 16 September 2025, co-founder and Director of Breast Research Australia Prof Deirdre McGhee, Breast Physician Dr Lea Freeman, and Sports Trainer Robyn Tyler led a powerful session on breast injuries in contact and collision sports, facilitated by SMA QLD State Council member, A/Prof Melanie Hayman.
The panel provided detailed insights into breast injury risks, screening, management, and athlete experiences, with a special appearance from former Brisbane Broncos NRLW player, Meg Ward.
