On Wednesday 26 June 2024, Dr Anthea Clarke discussed Coach Education for those working with female athletes, part of our PD event collaboration with the Australian Institute of Sport, Female Performance & Health Initiative (AIS FPHI). It was facilitated by Michelle De Highden.
Topics included specific considerations, how to educate yourself and others, developing an effective environment and sport culture for female athletes, and understanding the influence of gender. Anthea provided a deeper understanding of the role of the coach, our inherent biases, and skills to assist with creating a supportive environment for female athletes.
